山奥で育ちました。

山や田んぼの風景を見ていると、その表面からスーッと中に入っていって、見ている風景いっぱいに自分が拡がる感じがしました。大きな岩の上から向こうの森や谷を眺めるのが楽しみでした。けれど、小学生の時にビルやガードレールばかりの町に引っ越してから、とたんに風景の中に入れなくなりました。それらの表面が私を跳ね返すのです。自分が世界から切り離されたように感じました。

　なんとか周りと繋がっていたくて、入れなくなってしまった風景の表面の手触りを確かめながら描いています。また、触りたくなる人肌のような岩肌を描きたいと思い、血湧き立つ色で人肌のイメージに近いピンク色で山を描いています。

I grew up deep in the mountains.

When I looked at the landscape of mountains and rice paddies, I felt myself expanding from the surface of the landscape to the inside of the landscape. I used to enjoy looking at the forests and valleys beyond from the top of a large rock. But when I moved to a town full of buildings and guardrails , I suddenly found myself unable to enter the landscape. Those surfaces bounced off of me. I felt like I was cut off from the world.

I wanted to somehow connect with my surroundings, so I painted while checking the texture of the surfaces of the landscapes I could no longer enter.

I also wanted to paint rocky surfaces like human skin that you would want to touch, so I painted the mountains in pink, a color that is blood-red and close to the image of human skin.
